Important Industry News – B31J – 2017

Q3 2017 Company Updates & Announcement

Important Industry News – B31J – 2017

The ASME B31 Committees recently officially released the new Standard we refer to as “B31J – 2017”. This officially makes B31J – 2017 available and part of the B.31 Code. This is a fundamental transformation for pressure vessel and piping design, and it will impact virtually every PVP design project in the future. B31J marks the first major improvement in the treatement of SIFs, k-factors, and SSIs in the Code in the last 40+ years. For those who take the time to understand and implement this new approach, more accurate designs, a reduction in costs related to design, construction, and lifecycle maintenance of a plant, and a simultaneous improvement in safety will be possible.

To see a joint Webinar put on between PRG and Intergraph on this subject, on September 6, 2017, please see the following announcement by Intergraph by clicking HERE.

Paulin Research Group May 6, 2015 -Presentation by a large US government agency

Paulin Research Group May 6, 2015 –

Tony Paulin Jr., President of PRG, gave a full day lecture and training seminar to the pressure systems engineering managers of a large US government agency.
This presentation showed how PRG’s FEA technology can be used to quickly and easily improve the safety of a system while simultaneously reducing “over-design”.

Are you having trouble with a component that falls outside the limits of the B31 Codes, WRC-107, or WRC-297?

Do the “allowable loads” for your design seem suspiciously low?

With PRG Software,we can help!

Stress Analysis Seminar with CAESAR II.

Dear Customer,

we are happy to announce that we are now able to give Stress Analysis Seminar with CAESAR II. To learn the functions of the software allows you to create an input but does not give you the required knowledge to find solutions when it is overstressed.

Our intention is to help customers in the future to be able to make stress analysis with whatever product their company decided to use and to be able to improve the knowledge in this field like we do for Finite Element from PRG Software.

We are not responsible for Sales from CAESAR II.

Changes occurring in the Fuchs Organization

Dear Customers,

I would like to inform you about changes occurring in the Fuchs Organization starting in the new year.

The need of modernization and reconstruction has led us to create a new company – the Fuchs Corporation GmbH- dedicated to the software department including sales, support and training.

To ensure a proper generation transfer of the knowledge my daughter Caroline Fuchs – Dipl.-Ing. Mechanical Engineering from Karlsruhe University, and I will together overtake the tasks in the future. Our goal is to keep and to expend the existing experiences and knowledge of the W.Fuchs GmbH.

W. Fuchs GmbH will further offer consulting work under Mr. Werner Fuchs. To guarantee the transfer of the contracts from W.Fuchs GmbH to Fuchs Corporation GmbH I will stay Manager of the W.Fuchs GmbH.

You are welcome to contact me in case of questions.
